International Carrot Day is a day set aside for all of us who love carrots.

A Few Carrot Facts...

• This day was created in 2003 to spread information on carrots
• Carrots are root vegetables
• Carrots can be orange, red, purple, black, yellow or white
• It is thought that wild carrots originated in Persia (now Afghanistan and Iran)
• Carrots were brought to America by the Europeans in the 17th Century
• Carrots have high amounts of carotene, vitamin K and Vitamin B6

A Few Ways to Celebrate International Carrot Day...

1. Eat carrots.
2. Make a carrot cake.
3. Try a new carrot recipe.
4. Read about the history of carrots.
5. Plant some carrots.
6. Drink some carrot juice.
