National Jelly Bean Day is a day to enjoy the many flavors of jelly beans.

A Few Jelly Bean Facts...

• Jelly Beans were invented by A confectioner named William Schrafft during the Civil War sometime in or around the 1860s
• In the 1930s, the Jelly Bean became popular during Easter
• It takes 7-14 days to make a jelly bean because they are made in stages and have to rest between the stages
• Up to 15 billion jelly beans are eaten in a single year
• There are over 100 jelly bean flavors, from inviting flavors such as Cherry, and pancakes, and maple syrup to disgusting flavors such as vomit and dirty socks
