National Poker Day is a day to learn more about all the things involved in poker.

A Few Poker Facts...

• The earliest form of poker involved only 20 cards; most games now use a full deck of cards
• The first cards were printed in the 1300s
• In the 15th century, matching suits of hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades were created
• In the 1800s, Poker is created and is initially called poque
• The longest poker game was more than 8 years long at the Birdcage Theatre in Tombstone, Arizona

A Few Ways to Celebrate National Poker Day...

1. Play a game of poker.
2. Learn a new poker game.
3. Have a poker party.
4. Read about the history of poker.

How will I celebrate National Poker Day? I will learn what is good and bad in a poker hand, 

such as straights, a flush, etc.
